  • A number of sources have identified BonziBuddy as malware, and the company objects to this. [10] In 2002, a Consumer Reports Web Watch article identified BonziBuddy as adware and pointed out that it is an entrance trojan that collects information about people today. The actions for which the program is configured usually include a crash from the user’s web browser home page to open bonzi.com without the user’s permission, as well as requesting web browser tools to track various user installation information and daily publications.
